From March 2017 until August 2018, composer and pianist David Ianni from Luxembourg travelled to nine European Capitals of Culture for which he had composed a piece of music and produced a music video in public places. For each music video, a piano was artistically designed and painted. The pianos were donated or auctioned off for charity. David worked with many different people from the cities that he visited: musicians, artists, children, cancer patients, people with mental impairments, dancers, actors. The album MY URBAN PIANO contains the music from all the episodes plus David’s orchestral work “The Cloud of Unknowing” plus bonus tracks. It was released on 14th December 2018.
